S-Designor's detailed analysis reports add another dimension to database design organization:
S-Designor generates presentation-quality documentation at both the Conceptual Data Model (CDM) and Physical Data Model (PDM) levels of the design which can be completely customized in content as well as layout.
S-Designor lets you manage analysis reports at both the CDM and PDM levels of the design process. A customized report can be defined and saved for later reuse. These reports are automatically updated with the evolution of your models since they contain all the current data modeling information and your notes as they are entered.
The reports generated by S-Designor are customizable in content as well as layout.
The information within the reports is completely customizable, defined as a collection of base elements: lists of objects, object card (e.g., Entity Card is the section of the report which can show any information pertaining to entities), table of contents, title page, model graphics, etc. The reports can take into account the whole model or a sub-model. For each card, you can choose which objects (entities, relationships, business rules, etc.) and which information (list of attributes, attribute descriptions, header, etc.) to be included. The listing order (by name, code and label) may be rearranged to your preference.
All elements of the layout are customizable: page format; margins; page orientation; frames; font; headers and footers (existence and definition) and page breaks.
Reports can be sent directly to the printer in a presentation-quality layout or exported for further customization to your word processor including Word, WordPerfect, PageMaker and AmiPro.
The model graphics can be printed separately from the analysis reports. S-Designor can print more than 100 pages of model graphics at a time. It automatically decomposes the model into separate pages and displays a print preview as well.
